Ohio CASA/GAL Association Membership

What does the Ohio CASA/GAL Association do?

The Ohio CASA/GAL Association supports local volunteer CASA/GAL Programs throughout the state of Ohio with technical support/assistance, funding, and legislative support, so that they may advocate for abused, neglected and dependent children in the Court system.  The Association implements and monitors National CASA Association standards, provides local program staff and volunteer training, facilitates new program development and works to secure stable funding for local programs.

In Ohio, there are 35 CASA/GAL Programs serving 38 counties with over 1700 volunteers who served 7475 children during 2005.  It is our goal to be financially sound, advocacy based, collaborative organization providing needed support to local volunteer CASA/GAL programs, with program expansion to all 88 counties in Ohio.
